From mountains to the sandy coast this route has something for everyone.
From a historic northern town, this epic journey heads south across the heart of Portugal. Ride through dramatic mountain passes, weave between the terraced vineyards of the Douro Valley, and traverse rugged boulder country and open cattle-grazing plains. Along the route, explore historic sites, cool off in scenic lakes, or enjoy paddleboarding on calm waters. The adventure reaches its peak in the Serra da Estrela Natural Park, home to Portugal's highest summit, soaring above 6,000 feet.
We then turn west towards the Atlantic coast, travelling through the heart of rural Portugal and uncovering the country's rich history, traditions, and culture. Passing through picturesque villages, historic towns, and unspoilt countryside, the route offers an authentic glimpse into Portuguese life before reaching the spectacular Atlantic shoreline. Here, vast stretches of golden sand, dramatic cliffs, and rolling ocean waves provide a stunning stunning vistas as we head north.
